Cursor
Where Cursor is better
Cursor is a better editor and a more complete cloud platform than we are. It runs fleets of agents locally, in the cloud or over SSH, including on self-hosted machines. Its automations fire on cron, Slack, Linear, GitHub, PagerDuty and webhooks. It has Canvases, a Projects coordinator that can work on a project for months, and audit logs that stream to your SIEM. Team Rules already reach every repo, inside Cursor. If your team is happy to standardize on Cursor's agent, Cursor is a fine answer.
Where CodeSense differs
Cursor lets you pick models, but inside Cursor's agent, Cursor's rules format and Cursor's cloud. CodeSense keeps the loop in your files, so the agent is a choice you can change. Each agent you launch gets one team's context as plain files in its worktree, across the repos your team lists. Your plan is markdown stories with dependencies you can read, and one epic can span repos with each story opening in its own repo. Switching between Claude Code and Codex doesn't mean redoing rules, tickets or checks. We don't match Cursor's automations or remote runners today.
