This page explains, in plain English, what we collect about you during the CodeSense private beta, why, and how to have it deleted.

The short version

  • No accounts. There's no CodeSense account or password. Everything arrives by email.
  • No cookies. This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking.
  • No telemetry. The app sends no usage analytics and no crash reports.
  • Two automatic calls, both to our update server. CodeSense checks for updates about once a day. It sends your beta key, the app version and a random install ID. When an update is available, it downloads it in the background. Like any web request, our server sees your IP address; we keep only the country for checks, and for downloads we store a salted hash of the IP address, not the address itself. Nothing else.
  • Feedback is your choice. We only get feedback when you send it.
  • We don't sell your data or use it for advertising.

What we collect, and why

You, as a beta user

To decide who gets in, send your invite and beta key, and contact you about the beta. Kept for the beta period, then 30 days after it ends. An application you never confirm is deleted after 7 days.

Your beta key and Macs

So the app works on your Macs and stops working on a Mac you remove or a key that's ended. Kept for the beta period, then 30 days after it ends.

The daily update check

To offer you new builds, keep your key working, and spot a build that needs pulling. Each check is kept for 180 days.

Downloads

To keep download links personal and notice a link that's been shared. Kept for the beta period, then 30 days after it ends.

Emails we send you

So we know what you've been sent and can answer questions about it. Kept for the beta period, then 30 days after it ends.

Feedback you send

Only when you send feedback from the app. To fix what's wrong and to reply to you. Kept for the beta period, then 30 days after it ends.

Every field is listed on data practices.

What stays on your Mac

Your code, your team's context and your agents' work stay on your Mac and your own git host. We never receive them. The agents you run, such as Claude Code or Codex, talk to their own providers under their own terms.

Who handles it for us

  • Cloudflare hosts this website and the beta service, stores the beta's database and builds, and forwards mail sent to beta@codesense.ai to us.
  • Resend sends the emails we write to you.

They process your data only to provide those services to us. We don't share it with anyone else.

How long we keep it

An application you never confirm is deleted after 7 days. Each update check is kept for 180 days. Everything else is kept for the beta period, then 30 days after it ends.

Seeing, correcting and deleting your data

Write to beta@codesense.ai from the address we have for you. We'll send you a copy of what we hold, correct it, or delete it: your record and everything linked to it, including your applications, beta key, Macs, update checks, downloads, feedback and the emails we sent you. Deleting your data ends your beta access. Our database backups may still hold a copy until they roll off; we never restore a deleted person from them.

Changes to this page

If we change what we collect or how we use it, we'll update this page and its version and date, and email beta users before the change applies.

The beta terms

Using the beta is also covered by the private beta terms.
